Schools, Community and Education
Workshops and training can be delivered in educational or community settings and cover a wide range of visual arts. These include: lantern making, willow work, recycled arts, mosaic, murals & painted boards, banners, felt making, props, puppets & costume. Workshops can lead to site specific artwork and instillation, beautiful shows, carnivals & parades or individual pieces to be kept by participants.
As a qualified Arts Award assessor, Jo offers support to children and young people working towards an Arts Award, can offer workshops and 20 hour programmes designed to help students attain their Discover and Explore Certificates, and assesses students final work. The Arts Award can be delivered in many ways. It can run alongside your current programme or be used to start something new. Work can be recorded in any format - from drawing to photography, collage to video, printmaking to literature. It enables children from the age of 5 an opportunity to enjoy the arts, develop creative and leadership skills and achieve a national qualification. Arts Award offers a set of nationally recognised qualifications for children and young people.
